The Role

Previous staff management / supervisory experience required

Strong working knowledge of Maintenance / Engineering in a manufacturing environment

  • Together with the global maintenance manager deploy the maintenance methodology and embed it in the organisation
  • Execute maintenance strategy in line with global maintenance strategy
  • Ensure that the planning and execution of the maintenance of the machinery is made in the most efficient way and according to prioritization, and according to instructions and that the plans are communicated and agreed with production and planning
  • Secures that breakdowns and short stops are analysed to find root cause and corrected, and that prioritization follows the prioritisation of the factory
  • Contracts external supplier for maintenance purpose and supervises their activities
  • Secure detailed planning, daily steering and follow up of maintenance actions
  • Encourage the technicians to act as trainers for the operators
  • Ensure compliance of the factory with all legal requirements HV PTW, Electrical switch gear, W@H, E&I competence training, asset register, Fixed Wiring, DSEAR / ATEX, Gas / Pressure systems, Lifting Equipment for etc
  • Ensure Safety culture in the technical department. Secure compliance with the safety regulation
  • Ensure quality and environmental impact in projects on short and long term and continuously improving the environmental impact in the maintenance activities
  • Together with the HACCP-team make sure that we identify and control the food safety risks related to maintenance or investments activities.
  • Formulates budgets (maintenance and investment) and investment proposals, controls, forecasts and takes corrective actions if needed
  • Make sure the department has an optimal organisation and manning.
  • Ensure that the people in the department are motivated, trained and that all policies according to people are followed in the department
  • As a member of the management team take an active role in the overall strategic planning, follow up and development of corrective actions to make sure the factory reaches its goals and vision
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the local strategy and policies

The Person

  • Bachelor and / or Master degree
  • Profound knowledge of maintenance and engineering and experienced in CI/GMP/BRC HACCP/ manufacturing
  • Ability to engage and motivate teams and to take people with her/him
  • Proven record of implementing change and delivering breakthrough results
  • Fluent in English
  • Several years of relevant supervisory experience in a maintenance and manufacturing environment
  • Good financial understanding
  • Background in food is beneficial
