Assistant Accountant

Athy - Permanent

Salary: €45,000 - €50,000

Office Based Role

 

My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis.

Candidates can either be part qualified or qualified by experienced.

Strong Excel skills are required for this role

Experience of using an ERP System would be a distinct advantage

This role will be fully office based.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Timely closure of month end processes - Sales, Freight, Inventory
• Timely preparation and transmission of monthly Payroll
• Timely transmission of customer remittances weekly
• Assist with annual external Audit
• Analyses of OPEX on a monthly basis
• Assist with preparation of quarterly Forecast and annual Budget
• Preparation of specific Blackline balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage VAT process
• Manage stock corrections and adjustments on JDE
• Cover for Assistant Accountant and Finance Manager as need arises

The Person

Key Skills

• 3-5 years experience of working in finance in a manufacturing environment
• Experience of working on an ERP system eg JDE or SAP
• Part qualified accountant, degree an advantage
• Fluent English,
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
