The Role
Financial Controller (Permanent)
Parkwest (office based 5 days a week for six months then 1 day per week from home)
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with senior leadership and contributing to strategic business decisions in a hands-on environment.
The Role
Reporting directly to senior management, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis
Management of month-end and year-end close processes
Delivery of financial reports and commentary to senior leadership
Support budgeting and forecasting activities while monitoring performance against targets
Maintain and enhance financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and professional bodies
Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax requirements
Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital
Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, and reporting efficiencies
Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to support key business decisions
The Person
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
2–3 years’ post-qualification experience
Strong experience preparing management accounts
Excellent technical accounting knowledge
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Business Central advantageous)
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Experience within an SME or growing business
Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
