Systems Accountant
Location: Maynooth – 1 day per week onsite
Contract: 2-Year Fixed-Term Contract
Salary: €60,000 + Benefits
The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to join their finance team on a two-year fixed-term contract.
This is a varied role combining finance, systems and process improvement. The successful candidate will work closely with finance and wider business teams to improve financial systems, streamline processes, enhance reporting and support ongoing finance transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and improvement of finance systems and processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline existing finance activities.
• Work with finance users to understand requirements and develop practical system solutions.
• Support system upgrades, implementations and ongoing enhancements.
• Improve financial reporting, data quality and management information.
• Assist with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end processes.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, workflows and system documentation.
• Support testing, implementation and user training for system changes.
• Work with internal teams and external providers to resolve system and reporting issues.
• Develop reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.

Candidate Profile
• Qualified accountant or relevant finance/systems experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting and controls.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
• Previous involvement in finance transformation, systems implementation or process improvement.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with both finance and technical stakeholders.
