The Role
Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a Quality Manager in Co. Westmeath.
This is a stand-alone role, reporting to the Managing Director.
Key responsibilities
The key responsibilities associated with this role include:
- Ensuring all quality, H&S and environmental procedures are maintained and adhered to
- Taking primary responsibility for driving continuous improvement (using Lean tools) in the company
- Co-ordination, implementation, and execution of internal audit schedule with head office
- Provide follow up, resolution and close out of non-conformances in ISO Quality, Environmental & Safety System and for RHP and FSC audits and systems
- Compiling internal, external, and corporate reports relating to the relevant responsibilities
- Maintaining training schedules and ensuring all certificates are kept current
- Taking primary responsibility for the annual management review
- Monitoring the quality of raw materials
- Project work as required
The Person
Qualifications and experience required
- Ideally, a third level qualification in a business, science or engineering discipline
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a quality assurance role, ideally using Lean tools
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
