HR Manager (Maternity Contract)

  • Partner with the management team to translate organisational needs into HR requirements and pro-actively bring the organisation and people agendas together.
  • Provide guidance and support to senior management on recruitment, performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, development plans, organisational change, TUPE and budget management.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to employee relations issues to maintain a positive IR climate through addressing concerns, proposing solutions and supporting negotiations with union representatives.
  • Manage and support the ongoing professional development of staff through the provision of appropriate coaching, training and development programmes geared to their roles and career progression.
  • Develop and execute succession planning activities to engage and develop high potential talent.
  • Identify gaps in HR compliance related knowledge and skills needed by managers and provide solutions to address those gaps.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and lead all HR related project work in partnership with business managers as and when required e.g. TUPE, employee engagement programs, employee values relaunch etc.
  • Assist with the development of and support robust communications.
  • Increase employers brand externally through activities aligned with Company’s overall strategy.
  • Present meaningful data to the business to make insightful strategy decisions. 

The Person

Education & Experience required for the Role:

  • Degree qualified in Human Resources or a related discipline and / or CIPD member.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager at a senior level with good operational experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with and influence with all levels of management with particular reference to change management.
  • Self-directed individual with demonstrated experience creating and implementing strategic HR plans.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ROI employment legislation, experience in NI employment law advantageous.
  • Experience in integration new companies (TUPE) is an advantage.
  • Experience of a unionised environment is an advantage.
