The Role

HR Business Partner 

Based in West Dublin

€50,000 - €55,000

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • HR ambassador and mentor for the HR team
  • Point of contact for senior and pharmacy management in relation to all day-to-day operations
  • Deliver a HR service in line with business needs by running the day-to-day HR functions
  • Provide a professional advice and support service to all Managers in the company in line with employment legislation and company policy and procedures
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels across the business
  • Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly HR reports and general HR stats as required
  • Assist HR admin in preparing information for payroll reporting on a weekly and monthly payroll processing
  • Manage disciplinary/grievance/ER and IR issues in line with Company policy
  • Advise the business in terms of required updates of HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation and company objectives
  • In conjunction with the operations team implement workforce planning strategies
  • Negotiate with colleagues on remuneration and or employment conditions
  • Assist where required in company restructures and planning
  • In conjunction with the COO assist the Operations team in meeting the payroll budget
  • In conjunction with the COO approve recruitment of retail positions
  • Assist where required in the recruitment of senior roles in the business
  • Assist Learning and Development in development and implementation of new training programmes
  • Assist peers with new acquisitions for the business (HR integration)
  • Manage GDPR compliance within the HR team (full training will be provided)
  • Analyse data from exit interviews and prepare HR support in key areas where highlighted
  • Monitor attendance and manage absenteeism across the group

HR Team supervision and mentoring

  • Lead by positive example and develop a spirit of team cooperation and motivation
  • Mentor team in all aspects of HR for future succession planning on the job training and coaching
  • Collate HR team information for the COO regarding holidays, absenteeism, and timekeeping, ensuring full cover is always maximised in the department
  • Ensure all department colleagues always comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Assign tasks / projects to competent colleagues with a view to improving motivation and developing potential as well as delegating tasks / projects fairly
  • Provide all team members with performance feedback, guidance, and regular appraisal both positive and negative
  • Communicate professionally and openly with all team members in a planned manner through formal meetings (weekly and or monthly staff meetings) and informal chats
  • Ensure all team members are fully briefed in a timely manner on all tasks, projects, and operational issues
  • Ensure high standards of personal presentation (dress code, personal care) in line with company standard
  • In conjunction with the COO develop a yearly schedule for the planned professional development of the team

Experience and Qualifications required

  • Third Level Qualification in Human Resources Management or MCIPD Membership gained through experience assessment
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced HR (Operations Generalist or Business Partner (Operations) Role
  • People management experience
  • Employee Relations experience
  • Good understanding of the Retail Industry is advantageous
  • Acquisitions and TUPE experience advantageous
  • GDPR knowledge advantageous
