The Role

HR Business Partner

Dublin 22

Permanent - Hybrid

Reporting to and working closely with the Divisional Head of HR, the HR Business Partner will work in close partnership with the other key HR disciplines (Reward, Talent and L&D) to ensure programmes and processes delivered by HR are aligned with business and HR strategies. They will manage and lead employee relations cases (grievances, disciplinaries, sickness absence, capability) and be responsible for leading key strategic projects in collaboration with members of the HR leadership team and key stakeholders from across the business.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Keep close contact with the employee base at all levels, sharing any emerging themes with the Divisional Head of HR and wider team (as appropriate)
  • Be the first point of contact for all employee relations matters (disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence) providing the Divisional Head of HR with regular updates
  • Manage and investigate employee relations concerns and issues as they arise, balancing what’s right for the employee with what’s right for the company
  • Advise and guide managers both proactively and reactively as they manage their teams
  • Drive learnings from case management, best practice and developments in industry and legislation and share any learnings across the HR team and wider as appropriate
  • Lead and contribute to projects across the HR Strategy
  • Conduct exit interviews and report on the outcomes/trends of same
  • Manage long-term sickness absence cases to satisfactory conclusions for the business and employee
  • Provide key HR metrics/data where appropriate as requested by the business i.e. work winning, Regional/Divisional Board reports to enable more effective business decisions
  • Work with hiring managers to support the recruitment process as required
  • Ensure consistent reward and banding principles are applied across the employee lifecycle
  • Talent management; including finding opportunities for talent mobility across the organisation and succession planning

  • Experience managing disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Willingness to travel to various projects and offices as required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR
  • Commitment to continual learning and development

Training & Qualifications

  • A degree ideally in HR or Business/Management
    Studies (desirable)
  • Skilled at all Microsoft tools; Word, PowerPoint & Excel in particular
  • Working towards CIPD Chartership (desirable)


The Package

Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 DOE
