The Role
Our Client, a Large Multinational is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant, Tax and Reporting. This role is a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract with the flexibility of hybrid working
This is a board & varied Financial Accountant role which will cover preparation of VAT returns across multiple registrations, support for the Tax Manager in monthly and quarterly reporting, managing external reporting to CSO/IDA and other parties, preparation of customs valuations for complex supply chain movements.
The successful candidate will support the Tax and Reporting Manager, with ongoing reporting requirements, work with local and global business partners and provide input to both internal and external audit.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of VAT returns, across multiple registrations, meeting tight deadlines;
Completion of month end tasks, involving journal entry postings;
Balance sheet reconciliations and review and monthly SOX control checks
Working closely with Tax and Reporting Manager on monthly and quarterly reporting
Prepare Customs Valuations to support the local Supply Chain team
Respond to ad-hoc information requests from local and global business partners
The Person
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required:
A qualified accountant with 2/3 years of experience in financial accounting/analysis and month end reporting
Ability to work in a cross functional team in a complex, changing environment to deliver value-added results
Must be able to communicate effectively within the team and with business partners and have an excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of US GAAP as well as local accounting principles
Strong IT skills essential and SAP transactional knowledge desirable
