The Role

Main Duties: 

In addition to all general finance activities – the job specification will include:

  • Ensure good financial and accounting practice including but not limited to:
  • Preparing and completing monthly management reports within strict deadlines
  • Balance sheet reconciliations including a large number of multicurrency bank transactions
  • Monitoring/managing of various general ledger control accounts and variance analysis of key financial figures and metrics
  • Responsible for timely completion of quarterly forecasting and budget submissions
  • Supporting the day to day transactional accounting of the Finance Team
  • Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts , intercompany re-charge and transactions
  • Knowledge and expertise of SAP
  • Supporting internal and external audit process
  • Preparing and delivering monthly reports to business functions and liaising with budget holders in relation to queries on transactions, variance analysis and cost trends for their areas
  • Dealing with ad-hoc information requests from business and support areas
  • Contribute to team effort and assist colleagues as needed to balance workloads
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovative solutions so the team can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner
  • Accurate accounting of OPEX and CAPEX to relevant cost heads & general ledgers to present a true and fair view of the company’s expenses
  • Reviewing and finalising day to day running of the Finance function prepared by other staff members
  • Preparation of relevant management reports showing a true and fair view of the entity
  • Maintaining and monitoring of the Fixed Asset Register
  • Ensuring Compliance with Group reporting calendar
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager

The Person

  • Bachelors or Post Graduate degree in business/finance
  • ACA/ACCA or similar level qualification
  • 3-5 years experience in a financial/business environment
  • Knowledge of EU and other regions current financial compliance
  • Proven track record of leadership abilities and competencies
  • Knowledge and experience of business systems
  • Knowledge of IT tools specific for finance
