The Role

Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a permanent, full time permanent HR Officer in Naas, Co. Kildare

Permanent, full time role

Fully office based

Salary up to €45,000 plus benefits package

Main Duties:

  • Advise and support management and employees on company policies, employee relations matters and employment legislation, ensuring consistency across the organisation.
  • Manage the full recruitment process for General Operative roles, as well as end-to-end recruitment for other departments, including advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, selection and offers.
  • Manage grievance and disciplinary investigations as required, providing guidance to managers on employee-related issues.
  • Lead bi-weekly meetings with Production Managers.
  • Deliver new employee inductions and ensure all required training and compliance requirements are met.
  • Liaise with Payroll on employee pay matters relating to recruitment, promotions, leavers and other HR changes.
  • Maintain and update the HR system, including absence records, new hires, leavers, payroll changes and employee coding.
  • Prepare and analyse HR data and reports, including payroll, attendance, trends and KPI reports.
  • Manage weekly and monthly HR reporting, including monitoring employment permit renewals and expiry dates.
  • Represent HR at interdepartmental meetings and meetings with external third parties where required.
  • Complete general HR administration, including raising POs, processing Bike to Work cheques and preparing employment confirmation letters.
  • Prepare accurate and professional HR correspondence, policies and documentation.
  • Ensure all HR records, systems, filing and administration are maintained accurately and up to date.
  • Review HR processes and systems with the existing HR team and identify and implement improvements.
  • Undertake HR projects across areas such as recruitment, learning and development, employee relations and employee wellbeing as assigned by the HR Manager.
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the HR function as required.

The Person

  • Minimum 3 years’ HR experience, ideally at Officer or Executive level within a busy food manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Strong experience working in a fast-paced, varied HR role, with the ability to take ownership of issues and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Experience across a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment, learning and development, employee relations and employee wellbeing.
  • Strong conflict management and employee relations skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and challenging situations professionally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong listening, influencing and presentation abilities.
  • Confident in communicating with and advising employees and managers at all levels of an organisation.
  • Highly organised, conscientious and approachable, with strong time management and the ability to manage a high volume of work.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change on a daily basis.
  • Strong process management skills, with the ability to apply HR policies and procedures consistently.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to learn new skills, improve processes and drive effectiveness within the HR function.
  • Strong IT skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HR systems.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Word and Excel, with good experience using Outlook.
