The Role

Finance Manager - Strategic Pricing

12 Month Contract

 

Pricing Strategy Development and Execution:
Develop and execute pricing strategies aligned with business objectives.
Lead the review and execution of strategic pricing quotes and tenders.

Decision Making and Deviations:
Analyse and make decisions on pricing deviations, ensuring alignment with overall pricing strategy.
Take responsibility for customer pricing scenario analysis and sign off on deviation requests.

Performance Management:
Own the Pricing Budget and provide input and sign-off for projections.
Conduct month-end pricing performance analysis, offering insights on key price variances against prior year and budget.

Mass Pricing Strategy and Execution:
Define margin expansion strategies for customers and SKUs in collaboration with technology-defined parameters.
Execute mass pricing strategies, including negotiation support, scenario analysis, and deviation sign-offs.

Risk Management:
Manage back-to-back raw material coverage, aligning with technology finance on open coverage strategy.

Trade Spend and Rebates:
Sign off on payments for discounts/promotions and rebates above established thresholds.
Analyze pre-existing rebates for return on investment and evaluate new rebate opportunities.

 

 

 

Collaboration and Team Management:
Functionally responsible for the management and development of the BU Pricing team, both individual growth and collective as a group
Work closely with the BU Finance Director, GM & Functional Finance Director to ensure cohesive execution of pricing strategies and functional improvements.

These include:

• Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) or relevant commercial experience .
• Strong relevant experience in a similar role in a commercial environment
• Knowledge of SAP (SRM and ECC) an advantage
• Strong Excel skills
• Planning and organizational skills with a clear focus on meeting key deliverables
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within teams and with senior stakeholders
• Analytical and numerate with an ability to undertake a wide range of activities.
