Trainee Accountant – Dublin 4 (Small/Medium Practice)

Our client, a well-established small to medium-sized accountancy practice based in Dublin 4, is seeking to appoint a Trainee Accountant to join their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate or early-stage trainee to gain broad experience across accounts, audit, tax, and general practice work while completing a professional accountancy qualification.

Assist in preparing annual financial statements for SME clients, sole traders, and partnerships.

Support audit teams with planning, fieldwork, and completion of audit files.

Maintain bookkeeping records and perform reconciliations using cloud accounting software

Prepare VAT, PAYE, RCT returns and assist with income tax and corporation tax computations.

Liaise with clients to obtain documentation and resolve routine queries.

Provide administrative and technical support to senior staff and partners.

Attend training sessions and work towards completing professional exams (ACA/ACCA/CPA).
The Person
-
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.

Strong interest in pursuing a professional accountancy qualification.

Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with strong organisational ability.

Competent in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with cloud accounting packages is an advantage.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
