The Role

Senior Financial Accountant -  Kildare


Reports to: Head of Finance

Responsibility for financial reporting and financial management of a number of businesses in our group including our production operations in the UK and Germany.


Production and delivery of the monthly financial reports
Reconciliation of monthly financials to weekly management reports/weekly KPI’s
Production and delivery of the monthly financial reports for our distribution and waste treatment companies
Understanding of product costing, ability to review costs and challenge local management on business performance
Preparation and submission of annual budget for senior finance and management review and responsibility for gathering necessary financial information for budget process
Management of annual audit process with financial auditors
Reviewing internal controls across the business, identifying and implementing necessary improvements
Manage cash flows across the businesses
Ensure VAT, PAYE, Customs and other necessary external returns are prepared on a timely and accurate basis across all businesses
Ensure controls in place for financial compliance , including developing internal audit function
Establishing good working relationships across the business including support for other finance team members
Ad hoc project work and financial analysis as required, assisting the financial controller and wider business team across all companies in the group

The Person

Experience required for role

Knowledge and understanding of monthly management accounts, KPI Reporting, budgeting, forecasting and group reporting in a busy manufacturing environment for a large company.

Specific I.T skills and level (Advanced)

Excellent Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate data to meet reporting requirements. Knowledge of an ERP System such as Microsoft Navision or Business Central would be an advantage

Qualifications required

A qualified accountant, ACCA,CIMA , ACA with at least 3-5 years PQE.
