My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis

Candidates must have a minimum of five years’ experience and they must be either IATI Qualified or a Part Qualified Accountant

 

Strong Excel skills are required for this position.

You will be based in the office for the first eight weeks and then hybrid working will kick in.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monthly performance reports through excel for Middle & Senior management to track variances and Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage budget preparation process and be a key support for Centre managers for annual Budget to ensure accurate forecasting and expense control.
  • Review capital expenditure submissions for the Division to ensure they adhere to policy and are in line with the Budget.
  • Analyse and report monthly expenses and variances; and forecasts to support the Financial Controller in ensuring accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Focus on monthly payroll variances and forecasts in order for senior management to have access to the latest projected outcome for the financial year.
  • Lead reconciliations of inter-company debtor and creditor accounts to include dealing with queries from suppliers; requesting copy invoices and statements; and sending remittances in order to support accurate, effective and timely monthly management accounts.
  • Consolidate accruals on a monthly and yearly basis in order to support accurate, effective and timely monthly management accounts.
  • Ensuring accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations including building service charges, rent and other key categories to support the Senior Financial Accountant with accurate data.

The Person

Key Skills

  • Part Qualified Accountant - ACA; ACCA; CIMA; or CPA
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience (to include analytical and conceptual skills)

  • Excellent computer-literacy skills.
  • Strong skills in Sun, Vision, Sage, and MS applications (desirable).

  • Excellent written, organisational and interpersonal skills
