Project Finance Analyst

Location: Newbridge, Co. Kildare

We are currently partnering with a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector to appoint a Project Finance Analyst to join their Treasury & Capital Planning team.

This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of financing strategies that underpin the growth of a significant renewable energy portfolio.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Capital Planning Manager and play a key role in funding renewable energy projects, including joint ventures and strategic partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the evaluation, structuring, and execution of project and corporate development debt

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess project viability and funding structures

  • Assist with due diligence processes and preparation of materials for senior management and investment committees

  • Contribute to the development of project finance proposals, analysing project cashflows and structuring appropriate loan terms from a risk/return perspective

  • Support the ongoing management of existing project finance debt, including loan documentation, waivers, and covenant monitoring

  • Identify, assess, and track key project risks and mitigants

  • Conduct industry and market research, including pricing trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitor analysis

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external advisors, lenders, and investors

  • Contribute proactively to team objectives and performance targets

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and governance standards

The Person

  • Degree in Business, Corporate Finance, Economics, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in project finance or a related financial role

  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capability

  • Experience supporting debt structuring and project evaluation processes

  • Exposure to infrastructure, energy, or renewable investment environments desirable

  • Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including advisors and lenders, advantageous
