Payroll Officer - 6 Month Contract

€40,000 - €45,000
Key Duties and Responsibilities
• The post holder will be part of the Payroll team in finance,
• The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent organizational and administrative skills. Have strong technical and problem solving skills also.
• Ensuring the statutory deductions for all employees are deducted and returned to the relevant outside agencies in a timely fashion
• Process data entry for all payrolls when required
• Maintain a good filing and retrieval system
• Will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
• Carry out any other duties, which may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications & Experience required
Must have:
• Have obtained at least Grade D3 in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate Examination (higher, ordinary, applied or vocational programmes) or equivalent
Or
• Have passed an examination at the appropriate level within the QQI qualifications framework which can be assessed as being of a comparable to Leaving Certificate standard or equivalent or higher i.e. Fetac Level 5
Or
• Have satisfactory relevant experience which encompasses demonstrable equivalent skills
And
• Have a minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience in a similar, busy, high volume environment
• Have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
• Fluent command and understanding of the English language to include spoken and written word
Desirable:
• Minimum of 2 year’s administration experience in Healthcare environment
• Have a sound working knowledge of SAP HR/Payroll Package
