The Role

Part Qualified Accountant

Permanent

Enfield, Co. Kildare

Salary: €40,000 - €55,000

Hybrid Working

 

My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Part Qualified Accountant on a permanent basis.

Along with having a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience, candidates will also need to be studying towards their professional exams.

 

Experience within a manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage

Experience working with an ERP System is also an advantage.

Candidates must have strong Excel skills for this role

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the monthly reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts.
  • Support month-end closing processes, including bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post financial journals in accounting software in accordance with monthly timelines.
  • Help ensure financial reporting deadlines are met in line with compliance requirements.
  • Assist with annual audit, including responding to auditor queries.
  • Manage the recording, tracking and disposal of fixed assets.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, including VAT
  • Support process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in developing enhanced financial reporting capabilities
  • Provide general support across non-accounting areas (including IT, where applicable and based on experience)
  • Collaborate with team members on ad hoc projects as required
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial information
  • Participate in team meetings to support effective communication
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and health & safety regulations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the finance function
  • Process and reconcile company credit card transactions

The Person

Key Skills:

  • Part qualified accountant or actively working towards a professional qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounts or finance role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Good knowledge of VAT and general tax compliance
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (Microsoft Business Central an advantage)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently while following direction accurately
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Any IT-related skills or experience would be beneficial
