The Role
Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing / Operations Lead in South Co. Kildare / Carlow border.
This is a permanent, full time role
Fully office based
Salary €45,000 - €55,000, DOE
Monday - Friday role
8am - 5pm, no shift work
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all on-site staff across goods-in, production, storage, and dispatch operations.
- Organise staff rotas and holiday cover.
- Liaise with maintenance and electrical personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the plant.
- Coordinate production planning activities.
- Manage raw material and packaging stock levels to support production schedules and maintain effective stock rotation.
- Maintain optimum finished goods stock levels and minimise the risk of products approaching sell-by dates.
- Achieve and maintain agreed KPI targets.
- Support the implementation of new plant and equipment alongside the technical team.
- Maintain a strong understanding of BRC standards, working closely with the quality team on BRC implementation and plant hygiene.
- Ensure all staff comply with health and safety procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with quality control on site waste management initiatives.

Key Skills:
- Strong planning and organisational abilities.
- Effective people management and leadership skills.
- Good IT proficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Relevant qualification in food science, operations, engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- Experience working with BRC standards.
- Strong understanding and practical application of HACCP principles.
