JV Finance Partner
Location: Newbridge, Co. Kildare - Hybrid ( 2 days office based)
Contract: Permanent
Qualification: ACA / ACCA / CIMA
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced JV Finance Partner to join an established organisation based in Newbridge.
This is a senior finance role with responsibility for the financial management, reporting and governance of a portfolio of Joint Venture entities. The successful candidate will work closely with shareholders, senior management and operational teams, providing strong financial oversight and supporting strategic and commercial decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of management accounts.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, P&L reporting, variance analysis, journals, accruals, prepayments and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly financial and management reporting packs for senior stakeholders, shareholders and Board/Steering Committee meetings.
Provide clear financial analysis, advice and insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across assigned entities.
Partner closely with operational, commercial and project teams to ensure financial plans are aligned with business objectives and project timelines.
Manage cash flow planning, funding requirements and shareholder loan reporting.
Support statutory reporting, year-end accounts, audit and tax processes.
Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial controls across areas including banking, treasury, purchasing, procurement and risk management.
Ensure financial processes and reporting are completed in accordance with agreed service levels, policies and governance requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with JV shareholders and internal and external stakeholders.
Support longer-term strategic planning, including financial modelling around CAPEX, OPEX, revenue and project delivery.
Work collaboratively with the wider finance team to continuously improve financial processes, reporting and controls.
The Person
Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
Approximately 8+ years’ relevant finance/financial management experience.
Strong management accounting, financial reporting and financial control experience.
Previous experience working with Joint Ventures, multiple entities or complex stakeholder structures would be advantageous.
Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial planning experience.
Experience in governance, internal controls, compliance and risk management.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to interpret financial information and provide meaningful business insight.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage with senior management, Board-level stakeholders and external partners.
Strong systems capability, ideally including Excel, Power BI, Power Query and/or Oracle.
Experience within project-based, infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy or other asset-intensive environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
This position would suit an experienced finance professional who enjoys combining financial reporting and control with business partnering, stakeholder management and strategic finance.
