The Role

Leinster Appointments is partnering with our Carlow based client to recruit for  a Head of Finance .

 

Role Summary
Reporting to the Group Director of Finance, the Head of Finance, located in Carlow, will play an instrumental role in the division, taking full responsibility for the finance function and supporting the drive for operational excellence and strong profitable growth across the Division.

 

Key Responsibilities

Managing a team of 10 –

Providing clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills

Overall responsibility for accounting processes for the division, taking ownership of all technical accounting issues

Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions Preparation and review of a monthly Management Reporting Pack with full analysis and commentary on performance for the executive management team and stakeholders

Compilation of annual budgets and forecasts

Ensuring appropriate systems, procedures and strong internal controls are in place for the division.

Managing the internal control environment and ensuring that  standards are achieved and maintained.

Working closely with management to develop the reporting capabilities to meet stakeholder needs (KPI’s, management accounts, budgetary performance etc.) in a timely manner

Build strong relationship within the division and the Group

The Person

Qualifications/Requirements

10+ years' experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success
Sound decision making skills based on accurate and timely analyses
Results oriented and metrics driven
Exceptional time management and able to solve problems
Exceptional interpersonal communication and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate and manage staff at all levels
Ability to lead by example and demonstrate a strong sense of integrity, ethics and dependability
Professional written and oral communication skills
Confident to present results to an audience
Strategic thinking, planning and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to collaborate with upper management to organise, plan and achieve company financial goals Additional Information Flexibility with working hours will be required during busy periods in order to meet corporate requirements.

Overseas travel may be required at times.

Office environment within a manufacturing setting.
