Hybrid Role - 3 days in the Office

 

The Opportunity
This is more than a traditional financial accounting role. You will gain broad exposure across the business while working closely with senior leadership to improve reporting, enhance financial controls, support acquisitions, and drive process improvements.
You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial information while identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies through automation and better financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the day-to-day finance contact for internal stakeholders, responding to financial queries and supporting business operations.
Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and inventory valuations across the Group.
Continually enhance and develop the monthly management reporting pack.
Assist with the preparation of quarterly group consolidation reporting.
Coordinate the year-end audit process and act as the primary liaison with:
External auditors
Company secretarial providers
Corporation tax advisors
Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
Produce meaningful financial analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.
Develop sales, margin, customer and product profitability reporting for Senior Management.
Support acquisition activities, including financial integration and post-acquisition reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiency.
Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processing and improve reporting accuracy.
Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to deliver cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Participate in strategic finance projects as the business continues to grow.
About You
You are a motivated finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment where you can influence change and continuously improve the finance function.
You are commercially aware, proactive, analytical and enjoy working across multiple areas of a business.

 

The Person

Qualifications & Experience
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
Ideally 3–5 years' post-qualification experience.
Previous experience within a Big 4/Top 10 practice or a commercial finance environment is advantageous.
Experience within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, FMCG or distribution sectors would be beneficial but is not essential.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for automation and process optimisation.
