The Role

Banking Accounts Assistant

Ballymount - Permanent

Salary: €40,000 - €45,000

Hybrid Working

 

My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Banking Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.

 

Experience of working in Treasury would be a distinct advantage

Experience using SAP would also be a distinct advantage

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check bank accounts and update treasury system accordingly
  • Request or transfer money to Group as required
  • Liaise with Group Treasury regarding borrowings and answering queries
  • Record cash that has come in on excel sheets and post transfers and direct debits
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Set up non BACS Euro payments as required
  • Check raw material invoices against Shipping system and against creditors accounts
  • Follow up on missing invoices/ credits
  • Put all raw material invoices on treasury system as forecasts
  • Check bank details on invoices / verification of new bank details
  • Check due dates on raw material invoices and set up payments as required
  • Check upcoming payments in USD and ensure funds are available in advance
  • Managing forward contracts GBP and USD
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable specialist, Raw Materials Purchasing Manager, Factory Managers regarding wages and Group Treasury
  • Input to departmental improvements and projects underway in the Finance and Administration Department to ensure we develop as a team and maximise our capabilities
  • Complete weekly wages for areas and circulating reports
  • Email payslips to employees
  • Post wages payments on bank
  • Post wages journals to SAP
  • Maintain reports on excel regarding wages
  • Populate wages PAYE schedule and balance wages control account
  • Upon payment of PAYE, post payment and update account
  • Answer queries from employees regarding wages as required
  • Interact with factory managers regarding wages as required
  • Other duties as directed by the Financial Director or Financial Accountant that may arise

The Person

Key Skills:

  • Ideally have experience of SAP operating systems
  • The ideal candidate will have treasury or treasury related experience and payroll experience
  • Commercially minded and willingness to understand our customer’s business with a view to understanding credit risk
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Must have a positive outlook and Values collaborative teamwork
  • Organized and used to working to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with good attention to detail
  • Flexible, adaptive, Conscientious and takes pride in work
  • Professional and courteous
  • Ability to see opportunities for improvements and make changes needed
