The Role

Accounts  Assistant  / Accounts Payable 
3 month contract with possibility of permanent role  
Office based 
Newbridge Co. Kildare
Duties and Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for this role initially will be to assist with the day-to-day operation of the Accounts activities of the department.
The role will quickly evolve to having full responsibility and ownership for all processing, control and accounting information for specific accounting functions.
Supplier Invoice registration and validation
Obtaining payment authorisations
Dealing with supplier queries
Reconciliation of Supplier Statements and Accounts & Creditors Ledger Reporting
Preparation of Supplier Payments and Cheques
VAT reporting
Creditors Ledger Reporting
Stock Count Processing and Reconciliation
Processing of employee expenses
Holiday Cover for Accounts Receivable
Ad hoc reporting as required.

The Person

Min 2-3 years relevant experience in similar role
Strong People skills with the ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
Proven IT skills, Proficiency in MS Office applications Excel and Word and Outlook
Experience of working with Integrated Accounting Systems
