The Role

Accounts Payable Specialist 

Contract Role 9-12 Months (May become permanent) 

Based in Dublin 1

Hybrid Working 2 days per week 

Salary Negotiable 

We are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract reporting directly to the Head of Finance . You will play an important role in our finance team as a point of contact for accounts payable, processing supplier invoices, reconciling and arranging payment of supplier statements, working closely with various teams across the company, and assisting with other finance-related work.

Duties: 

  • Ownership of the Accounts Payable process including the accurate posting and data entry of invoices in line with the month-end calendar
  • Working with other members of the accounts payable function to ensure a smooth operation that adds significant value to the finance team and the overall Brand.
  • Posting of bank transactions to our financial system D365
  • Accurate processing of the monthly and ad-hoc payment runs.
  • Effective communication with the various departments within the Brand to ensure that all purchase orders are valid and processed against invoices using the internal approval processes.
  • Prompt and effective handling of supplier queries and continuous development of supplier relationships.
  • Assist with Suppliers account reconciliation on a monthly basis.
  • Month-end reporting on Aged payables and other ad hoc balance sheet accounts as required by the Senior Financial Accountants.
  • Support the wider finance team as and when required.
  •  Ad hoc project work as and when required.

The Person

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar finance role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations (D365) an advantage.
  • Experience with online bank payments is an advantage
  • Excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Proficient Excel user.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative.

The Package

Salary €40,000 - 45,000
