The Role

Financial/Treasury Accountant

Permanent-Office based

Location: North Co Dublin

Reporting to Finance Director

Key responsibilities
• Prepares the monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts and 3-Year Business Plan
• Prepare management accounts of smaller holding company/ non-trading subsidiaries.
• Manages the treasury function (including cash-flow forecasting and managing foreign currency (£) exposure)
• Coordinates and supports external audit (RSM)
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, payroll, and corporate tax filings.
• Articulates and provides insights into business performance.
• Monitors and applies relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Assists with internal controls and process improvements.
• Assists in developing and obtaining cost savings.
• Participates in financial projects e.g. dividend policy etc.
• Collaborates cross functionally and provides support with ad hoc projects/ initiatives.

 

Ideally, you will have trained with a medium or large accountancy practice and have obtained good financial accounting experience, some of this will be audit based.

You will have transitioned to industry and obtained a minimum of 4 years’ experience. It would be advantageous if this included working in a manufacturing environment. It would be expected that budgetary/ forecasting, treasury management and KPI reporting expertise would have been obtained.

It is hoped this candidate will progress within the business and, as such, you will be an ambitious person, willing and able to work to a high level.

 

 

The Person

 

• Accountancy qualification, ACCA, CPA, ACA or CIMA
• At least 4 years industry experience
• Ideally some Treasury and monthly Management Accounts preparation experience obtained
• Very high level of proficiency with MS Excel and Word
• Previous experience with Coins would be preferable
