The Role

Financial Accountant – Rathcoole, Co. Dublin

An established Irish company based in Rathcoole, Co. Dublin is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Finance team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with 1–3 years’ post-qualification experience to join a leading organisation with a turnover exceeding €50 million.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function and assisting with month-end and statutory reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts (journals, reconciliations, and month-end close).
Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
Complete monthly bank and VAT reconciliations (EUR and GBP) and submit VAT returns via ROS.
Prepare and submit VIES, Intrastat, and CSO returns.
Oversee debtors and liaise with the Credit Controller.
Review and process supplier payments and staff expense claims.
Provide cover for credit control, accounts payable, and payroll as required (Sage experience advantageous).
Maintain company vehicle register and support insurance updates and renewals.
Assist with annual audit preparation and other ad hoc finance duties as needed.

The Person

Requirements

Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA / FCA accountant.
1–3 years’ post-qualification experience in a commercial environment.
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Sage experience an advantage).
Knowledge of payroll processes desirable.
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
