Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: North County Dublin, Ireland
Reports to: Managing Director / Chief Financial Officer CFO
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an ACCA-qualified professional with a minimum of 5 years of management experience in finance and accounting. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing a team, and contributing to strategic decision-making in the business. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, efficiency, and growth within a dynamic organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Management & Reporting:
o Prepare, analyse, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
o Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS, FRS102).
o Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
o Prepare cost centre budgets, distribute monthly, analyse and manage variances with key stakeholders.
o Perform financial analysis and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
o Commercial contract input, review and alignment
o Create business pricing model to ensure profit margins achieved
o Manage, monitor and oversee the company payrolls, including software, systems, process, auditing and controls.
• Team Leadership
o Manage and mentor the finance team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
o Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices.
o Foster a collaborative and high-performance environment within the finance team.
• Cash Flow & Budget Management
o Monitor and optimise cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational and strategic initiatives.
o Manage working capital and ensure accurate cash flow forecasting.
o Work closely with other departments to track and manage departmental budgets.
o Collaboration, input, review and monitoring of Operational KPI’s from Planning Department.
• Compliance & Risk Management
o Ensure compliance with Irish tax laws, regulations, and relevant financial reporting standards.
o Oversee the preparation and submission of VAT returns, corporation tax returns, and other regulatory filings.
o Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls and audit procedures are in place.
o Manage annual financial audits to ensure full compliance with required standards.
• Strategic Contribution
o Partner with senior management to drive business strategy, identifying financial opportunities and risks.
o Participate in key projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, and mergers/acquisitions.
o Provide financial expertise and advice to senior leadership on key initiatives.
The Person
Required Qualifications & Experience
• ACCA Qualification (or equivalent) is a must.
• A minimum of 5 years management experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a corporate or multi-national environment.
• Strong knowledge of Irish accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams.
• Experience with financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in particular).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
