Senior FP&A Analyst
Location: Dublin

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Analyst to lead financial planning and drive strategic decision-making across a multi-entity business unit operating in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and the UK.
This role is central to delivering high-quality financial insights, supporting senior leadership, and enhancing overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
• Lead the full financial planning cycle, including annual budgeting, monthly reforecasts, and long-term (3- and 5-year) planning
• Review and enhance the existing financial model, or design a new model aligned to business needs
• Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic decisions
• Provide detailed monthly performance commentary, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommended actions
• Prepare and deliver financial insights to support executive decision-making
Business Partnering
• Partner with senior stakeholders to provide timely and actionable financial insights
• Lead monthly performance reviews with department heads
• Support long-term planning discussions and evaluate financial impacts
Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare monthly management packs, including variance analysis and performance insights
• Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting
• Contribute to Board-level reporting and presentations
• Analyse submissions to business plans and forecasts, providing feedback and challenge
Investment & Projects
• Support investment appraisals (acquisitions, new services, capital projects)
• Monitor capital expenditure against budget and analyse variances
• Assist with cash flow forecasting
• Collaborate on system improvements to reduce manual processes and enhance reporting

 

The Person

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
• Strong financial modelling skills, with the ability to build and interpret complex models
• Advanced Excel skills
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, IFRS, and local GAAP
• Experience with SAP and/or SAGE is desirable
• Experience in the healthcare sector is an advantage
