The Role

Senior Financial Accountant

Permanent 

Hybrid - 2 days office based

Dublin West 

Our client, a leading multinational organisation within the FMCG sector, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its EMEA Finance team based in Dublin. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial accounting and inventory reporting within a dynamic, high-performance environment.

The position includes line management responsibility for one Assistant Accountant and offers strong exposure to multinational reporting, audit, and inventory processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage balance sheet reconciliations and provide detailed commentary to support month-end and quarterly reporting

  • Liaise with local and international stakeholders on financial accounting matters relating to inventory and operational entities

  • Prepare and analyse slow-moving and obsolete (SMO) inventory reporting, including reconciliation processes

  • Provide supporting schedules and analysis for quarterly and annual reporting requirements

  • Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements

  • Manage audit processes for relevant entities, acting as key point of contact

  • Coordinate with tax advisors and third-party service providers

  • Support inventory-related tasks, queries, and costing variance analysis

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and finance-related projects

  • Assist with ad hoc month-end and reporting queries as required

The Person

Experience & Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

  • 2–5 years’ post-qualified experience (PQE)

  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience

  • Experience within a fast-paced multinational organisation

  • Exposure to US GAAP and SOX environments advantageous

  • SAP experience highly desirable

  • Strong MS Excel and Outlook skills

  • Inventory and/or COGS reporting experience beneficial but not essential
