Production Planner - Leinster Appointments

The Role

Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a Production Planner in Co. Laois.

This is a permanent, full time opportunity.

Key responsibilities

· Develop and manage daily, weekly and monthly production schedules in line with customer demand and sales forecasts

· Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components

· Monitor inventory levels and work closely with Stores to prevent shortages or overstocking

· Liaise with Production, Engineering, Quality and Sales teams to align priorities

· Identify capacity constraints and propose solutions to optimise workflow

· Track production performance and report on KPIs (OTIF, lead times, efficiency, downtime)

· Update and maintain ERP/MRP systems with accurate production data

· Expedite critical orders and manage schedule adjustments as required

· Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning and manufacturing

Main requirements:

· 2+ years’ experience in a Production Planning role within a manufacturing environment

· Experience in engineering, mechanical, or industrial manufacturing preferred

· Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

· High attention to detail and strong organisational ability

· Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

· Advanced Excel skills desirable

· Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles an advantage

· SAP experience advantageous
