The Role

Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a Procurement Buyer in Co. Kildare.

This is a permanent, full time role.

Hybrid work available 

Salary up to €47,000 DOE 

Main duties:

• Support assigned procurement projects in the Business Unit aligned with overall business strategy
• Contribute to refining and enhancing procurement processes and policies within the business
• Assist team members in adhering to procurement processes and policies
• Evaluate third-party expenditures and identify opportunities to add value, reduce costs, manage risk, and ensure compliance
• Incorporate improvement measures into procurement plans and provide progress updates
• Provide guidance and support on procurement best practices, emphasizing customer service and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to determine optimal procurement methods
• Lead procurement processes and participate in supplier negotiations
• Ensure compliance with shareholder guidelines, regulations, and company procurement policies
• Continuously improve procurement controls and facilitate compliance reporting
• Actively contribute to the enhancement of the Procurement team and department
• Support company health, safety, and welfare protocols
• Engage proactively in performance management to achieve personal and team objectives

The Person

• Ideally a qualification in relevant procurement or business discipline;
• 2 years in procurement;
• Procurement professional certifications preferable;
• Knowledge of EU Utilities Directive and knowledge of E-tenders would be desirable;
• Strong communication and influencing skills;
• A strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively;
