The Role

Newly Qualified Financial Accountant (Practice Trained)

Kildare Town, Co. Kildare

We are currently recruiting for a Newly Qualified Financial Accountant on behalf of a well-established organisation based in Kildare Town.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant looking to build on their training and gain broad exposure across financial reporting, compliance, governance and business partnering.
Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will play a key role in financial reporting, audit, compliance and finance improvement projects while continuing to develop your technical and commercial skills.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial analysis.
• Assist with Board, Executive and Audit & Risk Committee reporting.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and the annual external audit.
• Assist with maintaining strong financial controls, governance and compliance processes.
• Support VAT, PSWT, Revenue and procurement compliance.
• Assist with internal and external audit activities.
• Contribute to finance transformation and systems improvement initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation and finance processes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting and financial planning.
• Provide financial analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making.

 

The Person

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Approximately 1 year's post-qualified experience (practice or industry).
• External audit experience gained during training is highly desirable.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting skills.
• Good understanding of financial controls and compliance.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
