The Role

Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a permanent, full time Quality Assurance Officer in Dublin 12. 

This is a permanent, full time role.

This role requires travel between both sites - one in Dublin 12 and another in Dublin 2. 

Salary up to €40,000 depending on experience.

 

Main duties: 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with each business unit to implement effective systems that ensure compliance with all HACCP and Food Safety standards.

  • Conduct visits and assessments across wholesale, retail, and restaurant operations to verify that HACCP documentation is properly maintained and that all food safety systems and related records are accurate, current, and operating effectively.

  • Work proactively with departments to remove affected products promptly upon receipt of safety alerts.

  • Liaise with relevant authorities, including the HSE, and manage audit responses or related requests as required.

  • Stay informed of new legislation and maintain up-to-date knowledge of Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations and industry developments.

  • Deliver workshops and training sessions to staff on food safety standards and best practices.

  • Provide guidance to food handlers on hygiene practices, appropriate storage procedures, and prevention of cross-contamination.

  • Create and update training materials and compliance guidelines.

  • Lead product recalls or withdrawals where food safety concerns arise.

  • Identify and assess risks within food production and processing operations.

  • Develop and implement preventative strategies to mitigate identified risks.

  • Monitor emerging food safety trends and revise internal protocols as necessary.

The Person

  • Demonstrated food safety experience within a multi-site environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organisational abilities with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Effective problem-solving skills.

  • Experience in auditing practices and procedures.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight deadlines.

  • Full, clean driver’s licence.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and compliance gaps.

  • Confident communicator capable of engaging with business owners and delivering staff training.

  • Ability to implement corrective and preventative actions effectively.
