The Role

Finance Transformation Senior Accountant - Dublin West

18-24month contract 

Parkwest, Co. Dublin 

 

 

The Finance Transformation Senior Accountant will support both the Finance Transformation Project and business as usual activities.

This position will report directly to the Financial Controller and will support the Financial Controller in the management, co-ordination and delivery of an efficient and effective Finance Function. This position will be a key
member of the Finance Transformation Project Team in delivering Budgeting System and Purchase to Pay System.

  • Design, develop and implement comprehensive budgeting system and Purchase to Pay System as a key member of
    the Finance Transformation Project Team to better enable the finance functions delivery of the organisation’s
    strategy and respond to external stakeholders.
  • Responsibility to Plan, Execute, Monitor and Close the finance transformation project.
  • Scope and schedule the key elements of the finance transformation project including managing costs during the
    project cycle to ensure they are kept within budget, whilst ensuring quality is built into the project from planning
    through to completion.
  • Streamline budget allocation and expenditure tracking processes to create efficiencies.
  • Improve the collection, integration and presentation of budgeting and forecasting financial data to support variance
    analysis, reporting and corrective action.
  • Enhance financial planning and decision-making processes by designing reports / dashboards that offer strategic
    perspective on operational performance.
  • Improve transparency and accountability in financial management and support a change management programme.
  • Prepare the annual budget for review including the monitoring of the budget vs. the actual budget explaining key
    financial movements in conjunction with the Financial Controller in line with Group’s Policies and Procedures and
    reporting timelines.
  • Produce accurate, effective and timely monthly management accounts including ensuring consistency of financial reporting
    providing detailed supporting schedules outlining key data movements identification of challenges and opportunities
    in line with best practice (FRS102 SORP) and within Rehab Group policies
  • Provide costings and impact to the Budget/Forecasts in order to enable the Financial Controller to review actual
    performance versus planned.
  • Prepare monthly rolling forecasts, including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow supported by detailed analysis and
    schedules of upsides/downsides to the forecasts in order to provide the Finance department and senior management
    with the latest projected outcome for the financial year.

 

The Person

A NFQ8 qualification or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
▪ Qualified Member of relevant accountancy body with PQE.
(ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
