The Role

The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
• Design, implement and monitor the system of internal controls required for the new JV legal
entities including banking, treasury, purchasing approvals, procurement and risk
management. Manage the communication and engagement process across stakeholders in
both finance and governance teams to ensure alignment with these new policies;
• Build relationships and manage the communications and reporting processes across all
relevant functions in both shareholders including finance, consenting, grid, engineering and
commercial. The role will require some travelling to attend project meetings at JV partners
location;
• Prepare and present monthly reporting packs in line with shareholder and board reporting
requirements including both management accounts and detailed project cost reporting with
inputs from engineering and project management functions as required. Lead the annual
budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting process for each of the SPV's working closely with the
project management teams on each project;
• Work with the statutory reporting team to prepare the Joint Venture statutory financial
statements and present same to the Board of the Joint Venture companies. Assist our
auditors with the year end audit to ensure an efficient year end audit process. Ensure
compliance with all tax requirements;
• Work with the Finance Development Lead and broader RE management team in planning
and delivering the RE project pipeline in line with the 10-year corporate plan targets. Ensure
alignment between the project teams and the Group 10-year plan in relation to timelines,
CAPEX, OPEX and Revenue assumptions;
• Work with the Renewable Energy Finance Team and broader RE management team in
delivering the annual plans. Support the wider RE team in preparing these financials. Manage
the business' information flow to and from the Lean Centre Finance Team;
• Assess the human resource requirements within the new technology development area and
develop a resource plan in line with the development program agreed in this area. Build and
develop an effective organisational structure to deliver against the objectives set in the area of
new technology development and deployment;
• As a key member of the management team, proactively use the Performance Management
process as a means to support resource planning within your team and the wider
organisation;

The Person:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes;
• Professional Accountancy Qualification is required;
• 5 years’ experience;
