Accounts Receivable & Payroll Assistant
6 month contract with possibility of going permanent
Salary: €40,000
Location: North Tipperary
This dual-focus role requires a candidate who can efficiently manage the end-to-end Payroll process while ensuring our Accounts Receivable (AR) ledger remains accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
• Process weekly payroll for 50 employees accurately and on time.
• Act as the first point of contact for employee payroll queries.
• Ensure compliance with current tax legislation and filing requirements.
Accounts Receivable & Credit Control
• Generate and issue high-volume invoices to clients.
• Allocate incoming payments (BACS, Cheques, Credit Cards) to the correct accounts.
• Perform proactive credit control, chasing overdue debts via phone and email.
• Reconcile the AR ledger at month-end.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes professionally to maintain client relationships.
The Person
Candidate Profile:
Essential Skills & Experience
• Previous Experience: Minimum 2+ years in a similar dual role (Payroll and AR).
• Software Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Quantum Payroll desirable but not essential.
• Numerical Accuracy: A "right first time" mentality with a high level of attention to detail.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for sensitive payroll discussions and firm but polite debt collection.
Desirable Qualities
• Available to start immediately or at short notice.
