The Role

Human Resource Manager (HRM) Grade VII

Permanent - 35 hrs p/week

The Human Resource Manager will work in close consultation with
the Director of Human Resources and the wider HR team to
implement the hospital’s HR strategy and to provide a best
practice Human Resource service as required to the relevant
stakeholders.

The postholder will deputise for the Director of Human Resources
as and when required.

The postholder with play a key role (operational and strategic) in
the management of all aspects of the hospital’s HR function
including recruitment and retention, employee relations, absence
management, staff engagement, performance management,
mentoring, workforce planning etc

Ensure staff records are maintained to include relevant data for
legal, HR and financial purposes.
• Maintain key HR metrics agreed for the hospital and other
metrics as required by HSE DSE (staff census, absenteeism,
induction, recruitment, staff turnover, OWTA compliance,
agency usage etc.
• Supervise and enable HR team members to carry out their
responsibilities.
• Identify and agree training needs in accordance with
performance and development plans.
• Manage staff performance in consultation with Line Managers
and deal with underperformance in a timely and constructive
manner.

The Person

A minimum of 5 yrs experience at a senior level in a Human
Resource management role including developing, managing and
delivering effective HR strategies.
• Extensive experience in a Human Resource role that has
involved dealing with HR matters (operational and strategic
level) including recruitment, employer relations, absence
management, staff engagement, performance management,
mentoring, workforce planning and the provision of a HR
advisory service.
• Experience of dealing with industrial relations matters including
negotiations with staff and representative groups in relation to
personnel matters.

 

Essential:
• A 3 rd Level Qualification in Human Resources Management
(CIPD) min QQI Level
