The Role
Experienced Accounting Technician – Full-Time (Hybrid)
Salary: €40,000 (DOE)
A well-established and progressive accountancy practice based in Kilcock is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join its growing team.
This is a full-time hybrid position (3 days office-based / 2 days remote).
You will work closely with colleagues and clients to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial management services.
Key Responsibilities
Recording Transactions

Accurately record financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, and payments using Dext and BrightBooks.
Maintaining General Ledger

Organise and categorise transactions into appropriate ledger accounts, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date.
Reconciling Accounts

Perform bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations.

Investigate and resolve discrepancies where necessary.
Financial Reporting

Assist in preparing financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Tax Compliance

Prepare and file VAT, VIES, RTDs, and RCT returns with Revenue.
Income Tax Preparation

Prepare income tax returns, ensuring compliance with current tax regulations and accurate supporting documentation.
The Person
Qualifications

Accounting Technician (IATI qualified)

IPASS qualification desirable
Experience & Skills Required

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role (practice experience advantageous)

Strong working knowledge of accounting software including Sage, Bright Accounts (Surf), TaxPro, and Dext

Ability to work effectively under pressure

Excellent client-facing communication and relationship skills

Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail

Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities
