The Role

Finance Manager

Location: Maynooth, Co. Kildare

Fully Office based

We are recruiting a Finance Manager for a family-owned, dynamic business. This is a hands-on, senior finance role reporting directly to the Board of Directors, offering exposure to all aspects of the business in a challenging and rewarding environment.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the finance function, supporting strategic decision-making while managing day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts

  • Monitoring and reporting on revenue performance and departmental cost margins

  • Tracking and communicating departmental KPIs

  • Liaising with external auditors and assisting with audited accounts

  • Preparation and submission of all revenue returns (PAYE, VAT, Intrastat, VIES, etc.)

  • Completion of all statutory returns and compliance requirements

  • Processing of vehicle sales transactions

  • Supervision of credit control and debtor management

  • Ensuring accuracy of accounts payable and receivable

  • Maintenance and ownership of the fixed asset register

  • Working closely with the Board of Directors to implement new processes and efficiencies

  • Introduction and management of departmental budgets and cashflow forecasts

  • Payroll processing

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant preferred; part-qualified with relevant experience will also be considered

  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role is essential

  • Strong analytical and IT skills, including the full Microsoft Office suite

  • Flexible and willing to assist in other areas of the business as required

The Person

  • Demonstrated track record in financial administration

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure

  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office; AutoView DMS experience advantageous)

  • Proactive, organised, and highly efficient with excellent time management

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage people effectively

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience

  • Motor industry experience is an advantage
