The Role
Leinster Appointments is currently recruiting for a Transport Team Leader in Dublin 22.
This is a permanent, full time role.
Salary 9am - 6pm or 8am - 5pm
Main duties:
- Allocate customer sales to transportation options in a cost-effective and efficient manner for domestic, import, and export deliveries.
- Plan and manage transport routes, including linehauls, for UK and Ireland operations.
- Ensure all customer delivery requests within the UK and Ireland are fulfilled.
- Maintain strong relationships with hauliers and customers.
- Generate reports and delivery schedules for customers and internal departments.
- Communicate with Customer Services, Customs, and Sales to resolve issues that may impact delivery times, ensuring customers are updated promptly.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to confirm accurate order details before scheduling deliveries.
- Work closely with Customs to ensure accurate information is provided for collections and deliveries.
- Manage workload independently, multitasking across various communication platforms with customers.
- Keep accurate records and provide timely information when needed.
- Maintain a high standard of work, taking responsibility for task completion.
- Meet performance targets and deadlines within agreed time frames.
- Show initiative, confidence, and the ability to work independently.

The Person
- Must hold a valid Category B driving license.
- Experience in cost-efficient job planning.
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong time management and ability to adhere to timetables.
- Good geographical knowledge of Ireland.
- Positive and efficient work attitude.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in literacy and numeracy with attention to detail.
- Flexibility in working hours and shift patterns to meet business needs.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing needs.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
