The Role

Main duties:

• Lead and supervise daily operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, organized storage, and timely order fulfillment.
• Collaborate closely with different suppliers to maintain strong relationships, optimize inventory levels, and negotiate favorable terms to meet company objectives.
• Monitor stock levels and product demand, making data-driven decisions to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
• Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to showcase furniture products attractively and drive sales both in-store and online.
• Train, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve performance targets, foster a positive work environment, and enhance their product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Oversee order processing, shipping, and delivery procedures, ensuring timely and accurate execution while providing customers with an exceptional shopping experience.
• Analyze sales trends, customer feedback, and market insights to identify opportunities for business growth, new product offerings, and process improvements.

 

The Person

Requirements:

• Proven experience in retail management, particularly in the furniture or home goods sector, with a track record of successfully overseeing warehouses and suppliers.
• Proven track record of successfully introducing and implementing new systems or processes within a business environment.
• Demonstrated experience in driving change management initiatives, including the adoption of new technologies or procedures.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage inventory across multiple locations, coordinate with suppliers, and handle customer orders effectively.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team of warehouse staff.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with suppliers, interact with customers, and provide clear guidance to the team.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and software to track stock levels, monitor sales performance, and generate reports.
• Results-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to achieve sales and operational targets.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor the implementation of new systems from inception to completion.
