The Role

Senior Income Accountant 
Terms: Permanent, full time, hybrid
Location: Dublin 12

We are an internationally recognised and pioneering charity, enabling more than 10,000 people with disabilities to live lives of their choosing in Ireland, Scotland and Poland. We are a campaigning organisation that advocates on behalf of the people who use our services and their families.
The Senior Income Accountant ensures accuracy and consistency of Income recognition in a compliant manner across the  Group. The Senior Income Accountant supports the business with costings and calculations for tenders and the review of Service Level Agreements to ensure compliance. The Senior Income Accountant is responsible for reconciling funding income streams from Public bodies with actual Service Levels Agreements and ensuring that non-public contracts are supported by signed agreements and all such income is received and properly accounted for by Rehab Finance.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop detailed costing models to support RFQs, RFTs and other forms of service request proposals across the Rehab Group in line with Funders requirements.
Develop a working relationship with all key stakeholders, including Funders, Finance, Business Development and HR in order to ensure effective communication.
Develop and review procedures in order to evaluate unsuccessful tenders/quotes and building improvements for future submissions, where applicable.
Develop Income Recognition policies for use throughout the Rb Group

 

The Person

Requirements for the role:
Accounting qualification
Member of relevant accountancy body (e.g. ACA,ACCA or CIMA)
Minimum 2 years post qualification Income Accountant experience
Working in a costing/management accounting environment
Exposure to a tendering (RFQs/RFTs) as part of daily duties
Working with a large complex accounting function
Work experience using a relevant financial software package.
