The Role
Senior Accountant - Permanent
Dublin 12 HYBRID****
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, proactive professional who will be responsible for managing the monthly reporting process, annual reporting requirements and the finance team and all its outputs.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will form an important part of our Finance Department as we continue to develop our world class product range.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The preparation of the monthly management accounts together with all of the ancillary reporting and controls relating to the Wholesale operation.
Preparation, analysis and posting of journals at month end
Strong management of the balance sheet including reconciliations to be prepared and reviewed on a monthly basis and the management of a strong process and control environment in all areas.
The management of a finance team of five including accounts payable.
The preparation of the annual statutory consolidated accounts and liaising with Auditors and Tax advisors in this respect.
Ensure all regulatory requirements are met including VAT, CT, PAYE etc.
The preparation, in consultation with the sales divisions, of an annual volume and profit forecast.
Preparation of rolling monthly/quarterly reports and forecasts as required.
In addition, you will be encouraged to propose and oversee the implementation of improvements in Systems.
Finally, ad hoc projects will arise from time to time.
The Person
You will be a qualified accountant with excellent IT skills.
Post qualification experience in a management accounting role and managing a team in industry is desirable.
You will have exposure to managing audit process including the production of annual financial statements
You will be capable, in time, of making a meaningful contribution to the commercial activity of the Group, while maintaining and improving a strong and well-established reporting and control environment.
