The Role

Purchasing Manager

Co. Kildare 

Permanent, full time position

Main duties: 

  • Assisting managing stock levels ensuring correct stock rotation and usage, whilst minimizing wastage and costs
  • Assisting with monthly and quarterly stock taking procedures across all departments
  • Scheduling of deliveries
  • To effectively manage costs incurred
  • Day to day management of the Procurement System
  • To ensure documentation of all received deliveries is accurate and is promptly forwarded to the accounts department
  • To drive cost efficiencies whilst ensuring quality of the product is not compromised
  • Maintaining excellent relations with suppliers and Heads of Departments

The Person

Main requirements: 

  • The right candidate must be familiar with procurement systems, experience with Procure Wizard is advantageous
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Strong skills in MS Excel
  • Taking responsibilities and ownership of tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure & meeting deadlines
