The Role

Payroll / Accounts Assistant

Carlow - Permanent

Salary: €38,000 - €40,000

Start Date: November / December 2021


My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Payroll / Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.

Candidates must have experience processing end to end payroll using Sage Micropay.

An IATI qualification would be a distinct advantage


Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing for 150 employees approx. weekly, including all associated returns/forms
  • Assist with management accounts preparation and account reconciliations
  • Weekly revenue reporting
  • Accounts receivable/payable
  • Bank reconciliations
  • To ensure all Accounting deadlines are met and that all reports are complete and accurate
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required by management

The Person

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience in similar role
  • Accounting Technician qualified
  • Management accounts preparation
  • Time Management System maintenance, payroll updating/preparation and reporting
  • Team player
  • Good customer services skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem analysis and problem solving skills
  • Numeric skills with particular attention to detail
  • Proficient in Sage Payroll(Micropay)/Sage 50 Accounts/TMS(time management system)/ Microsoft Outlook and strong Excel skills
