Part Time Finance Assistant
Ballymount - Permanent
Salary: €33,000 - €35,000
5 mornings or 3 full days (Flexible on hours)
Hybrid Working Model
My client is seeking to appoint a Part Time Finance Assistant on a permanent basis.
The client is flexible on the working hours and the successful candidate can work either 5 mornings or 3 full days.
Candidates can work 2 days at home and 3 days in the office.
Experience using Tas Book and Excel would be a distinct advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership and management of the Creditors Ledger
- Matching invoices to Purchase Orders and ensuring they are signed off for payment
- Processing of Purchasing invoices on the system
- Dealing with suppliers on disputed invoices
- Reconciliation of Creditor Statements
- Monthly payment run & remittances to suppliers
- Maintenance of supplier details.
- Payment of employee expenses
- Credit Card posting and analysis
- Daily posting and allocation of Bank payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Improvement of Accounts payable process
- Liaising with other departments to ensure timely resolution of issues / payment of invoices.
- Escalation of issues to where necessary to ensure prompt resolution and payment
- Accounts Receivable
- Processing of sales invoices
- Answering queries from Customers
- Credit Control support as required
- Raise purchase orders for stock / non-stock items as required
- Support for procurement during busy times
- Telephone Answering support for Finance Department
- Adhoc admin duties as required
The Person
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to multi-task and switch between multiple systems.
- Knowledge of Tasbooks, an advantage
- Basic Knowledge of VAT Rules, an advantage
- Good Organisational and prioritisation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively: internally and externally
- Good Analytical skills
- Works well as part of a team
- Ability to take ownership with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work unsupervised – and to seek guidance when necessary.
