About the Role
As a Key Account Manager you will take ownership of the full sales cycle – from identifying new opportunities and securing contracts, through to customer on-boarding and long-term relationship management. You will work with Key Accounts and Independent Retailers across your assigned region, playing a crucial role in building the company's presence within the Irish market.
This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with experience in capital equipment or FMCG, who is passionate about sustainability and enjoys a mix of field sales, strategic account management, and customer engagement.
Your Key Focus Areas
Your role will evolve through three key stages:
- Market Development:
- Identify and connect with Key and Independent Retailers to introduce the company's offering
- Build a strong sales pipeline through field sales, cold calling, and lead generation
- Sales Execution:
- Manage the full sales process from initial engagement through to contract signing
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and installation
- Account Management & Growth:
- Maintain strong relationships with Key Accounts post-installation
- Identify new business opportunities within both retail and non-retail sectors
- Act as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador for the company
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sales targets including revenue, product mix, and profitability across the East Coast territory
- Professionally represent the company in line with company values and policies
- Identify and engage with key decision-makers within target organisations
- Represent the company at trade shows and industry events across Ireland
- Manage end-to-end customer on-boarding and post-installation support
- Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity
- Promote the company's sustainability mission in all customer interaction
The Person
Who We're Looking For
- Proven experience selling capital equipment
- Background in Key Account Management, preferably in FMCG or a related sector
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to close complex deals
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder at all levels
- Analytical mindset with a structured approach to sales planning
- Passionate about sustainability and the circular economy
- Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident in presenting business cases and financials to clients
Essential Requirements
- Fluent in English
- Eligible to live and work in Ireland
- Full, clean Irish driving licence
