Financial and Reporting Accountant  - Maynooth

Permanent  - Hybrid

The Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller this role will be responsible for the financial and reporting of the Irish Entity. The role will be broad reaching in nature and will involve monthly preparation of the financial statements, tax preparation and business reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis and planning across all operations. This is the ideal role for a newly qualified accountant that enjoys the fundamentals of financial reporting and would like to take on a role that can have a real commercial impact on company decisions.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliations.
Preparation of the relevant statutory and tax reporting activity across Ireland and UK.
Variance analysis on relevant areas, in particular margin fluctuations across different customers and regions.
Preparation and review of timely and accurate reports of financial performance for key business units including development of the framework for reporting KPIs.
Support the annual budget process for all functional areas.
Support the external audit process.
Forecasting, analysis and planning activity to support business.
Support the continuous development and improvement of financial reporting systems.
Ongoing process improvement and project management of various projects as they arise.

The Person

Person Specification
Qualified Accountant, ACCA/ACA or CIMA accredited
1-2 years PQE in a commercial and growing environment
Someone that enjoys both the accounting and the analysis/business partnering side of finance.
A team player and who is ambitious for both themselves and for their team/business
Detail orientated with strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong MS Excel experience
