Financial Accountant - Permanent
HYBRID - West Dublin (2 days in office)
The Financial Accountant is responsible for key financial processes, including the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to Head office. In addition, the person will have responsibility for key SOX controls, the emphasis will be on establishing and maintaining tight controls within the areas of responsibility. As a member of staff, the person will also liaise with Corporate Head office, presenting and explaining results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Managing key aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet
Ensuring SOX controls are maintained over these areas
Balance Sheet Reconciliations are completed
Preparation and reporting of Monthly results to US Head office
Preparation of monthly reports for local management
Liaising with relevant business partners on timely resolution of issues
Financial Planning, Budgeting and Financial Analysis
Involvement in large-scale ERP projects across all finance areas
Pan-European VAT and related submissions
Continuous process improvements
The Person
Professional Accounting Qualification with minimum 3 years PQE
Good working knowledge of accounting ERP systems required – SAP, HFM, Peoplesoft (desirable)
Advanced Excel skills
Experience in a multi-national environment and in a SOX environment
Analytical and project management skills with demonstrated success in problem solving
Ability to contribute to the development of the Finance team operating with other team members in different locations
