The Role

Hybrid - Financial Accountant


This will be an office based role for the initial 3-6 months after which it will move to a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.

Reporting to the CFO


• Lead the preparation of the monthly management accounts for their allotted business areas working with other key members of the finance function (Revenue/Billing administrator and Systems Administrator)
• Working with senior finance colleagues to complete the Group Consolidation Report
• Complete the monthly close processes for the group, such as standard Inter-Company processes, Stock & Work in Progress.
• Complete revenue reconciliations to ensure accurate data between systems.
• Bank reconciliation support as required.
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review.
• Facilitate requests received by the finance team, from CFO, or other stakeholders regarding the preparation of monthly management.
• Take responsibility for year-end audit for their areas of ownership of group companies, through file preparations and liaising with auditors.
• Review existing processes for finance and recommend changes and improvements where applicable.
• Review and/or prepare, submit compliance return for group companies, such as VAT, VIES, INTRASTAT RTD etc, by relevant deadlines for submission.
• Be prepared to get involved in process improvements, new system implementations, setup and training.
• Assist with the preparation of consolidated accounts and entries required for Group reporting.
• Annual Budgeting and periodic Forecasting for area of business for which they are responsible.

The Person

A recognised accountancy qualification with 3-5 years post qualification experience
Be prepared to be “hands-on” in terms of account preparation with experience of intercompany and consolidation processes.
Comfortable working with new systems and an ability to grasp the basic processes driving the financial figures.
Ability and experience of working to tight deadlines and the importance of ensuring the accuracy of accounts and control processes are followed.
Experience of SAGE 50 would be a distinct advantage.
